While virtually all countries are just introducing quarantine one by one, China says it has already restrained the virus spread and is restoring production and consumption. Traders have started buying semis to resell them at higher prices in the period of an expected rise in demand. However, China’s domestic demand is far from being as strong as in the previous quarter. Government incentives to support the economy will accelerate the pace of consumption growth, yet it is not until May that China’s market will become able to support steel prices.
